General Policies
In dance, a dress code is an extremely important tool for the correct development of technique and discipline. By ensuring the policies within our dress code are followed, we are helping our dancers learn discipline, helping with their overall focus and energy. Proper attire allows for adequate freedom of movement for the dancer and gives the teachers the opportunity to clearly view body alignment, posture and placement— ensuring proper technique.
SBS has a standard dress code policy; it is required for all SBS Dancers to wear the outlined studio attire detailed below to classes. All attire and shoes worn at the Studio must be clean and in an appropriate condition to be worn indoors. Students not dressed appropriately may be denied participation in the class at the teacher's sole discretion. Students who are denied participation in class will be permitted to observe only.
