Hello Dance Families,
I have attached the new Tentative Schedule for the 2020-2021 season. Dancers with multiple classes will stay in the same studio. There is now time in between groupings for sanitizing. Some groups have been adjusted so that dancers and staff can fit in the studios safely. Class sizes are capped specific to each studio. Dancers will be physically distanced at all times during class with the floors marked to keep each dancer in their own spacing. Masks are not required during lessons, but masks will be required for entering/exiting the studios, in the lobby, and to and from the bathrooms. The lobby will remain closed. Please read through our new SBS Policies and Procedures - this will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Dancers age 6yrs and up - Dancers will use each studios external door to enter and exit. If a dancer has a break between classes, we will allow them to use the lobby with restrictions. Dancers who have classes in different studios will use the lobby to move between rooms.
Technique/Choreography/Costumes - We will be focusing mainly on technique during the month of September. Choreography may be taught, but without any formation work because the dancers must remain in their marked spaces, physically distanced. We are hopeful that competitions will happen in the spring, and we will be preparing for these performances. Choreography with formation work may be possible at a later time with dancers wearing masks. Because dancers are advancing levels and each grouping has changed, routines will be re-choreographed and some teachers will also be changing songs. We will re-use costumes or sell/trade between groups as much as possible.
PRESCHOOL – A parent and their dancer can use the lobby to enter and exit for drop-off and pick-up. We have a system in place to ensure physical distancing can be maintained and will emaiL you regarding these procedures. Please log in to your account for updated class times.
Saturday Lines (Musical Theatre, Hip-hip Line, Lyrical Line) – HYBRID CLASSES – We will split these classes into 2 groupings, both groupings learning the same routine, but alternate between each grouping either coming to the studio for in person lessons vs taking the class online.
Conditioning 8-11- HYBRID CLASS – We will split this classes into 2 groupings. Each grouping will alternate between either coming to the studio for in person lessons vs taking the class online.
Extreme Team– New Groupings! Dancers have been grouped together by age.
CHECK YOUR NEW SCHEDULE - Please log in and check your accounts to see your new class times and teachers. If there are any conflicts or questions please email email@example.com as soon as possible.
First day of class is Saturday, September 12.
Thank you again for your patience and support as we navigate into our new fall season. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We will re-evaluate our plan on a month to month basis. We look forward to seeing all of our dancers back in classes!
