Jacques Bourgouin
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Jacques did most of his dance training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet where he graduated from their Professional Division Program in 1988. He went on tour with the company in the production of "The Nutcracker" which toured across Canada, and "Romeo and Juliet" which toured the former Soviet Union. Jacques has trained in all three major ballet syllabi - Vaganova, R.A.D., and Cecchetti. He teaches Ballet, Pas de Deux, Repertoire, Tap, and Step Dancing. He is an examiner for the Edmonton School of Ballet "Junior Grades" program. Now residing in Edmonton, Jacques is co-owner of the Strathcona School of Dancing.
