On behalf of the Dance Parents Association we would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and existing dancers and dance parents. As we begin our 2016/2017 dance season we would like to inform you of a few upcoming exciting events:
In-Dey-Go Cookie Dough
Our biggest general fundraiser of the year will soon be underway with the In-Dey-Go Cookie Dough. We have had fabulous success with this fundraiser in past years and look forward to exceeding the fundraising efforts this year! Your dancer will be coming home with information and an order form the week of September 12, 2016. If you do not receive one please see the front desk.
All order forms will be due by Saturday, October 15, 2016. We expect delivery will be on October 26, 2016.
** Please ensure you provide CHEQUES only with your order form payable to SBSDPA.

If you are able to volunteer your time to sort or distribute the cookie dough please email the DPA at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
To motivate high sales and for every 10 tubs of cookie dough sold, your dancer will be entered into a draw for 1 of 4 prizes of 'Exclusive Step by Step dance wear'.
November 19, 2016 - Fiesta Night Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction!
This fundraiser night is geared specifically towards raising funds for another Day of Dance convention for our Step by Step students! Our convention last February was a huge success and an amazing, exclusive opportunity for our dancers. Our goal is to significantly offset the costs for dancers for a convention in the next dance season. We have already been in contact with KBM Talent (Krista and Autumn Miller and company) to look at having them return.
This convention will be open to all SBS dancers. However, in order to enjoy the cost savings of the fundraiser, you will want to attend, participate and/or volunteer to make this night a success! We will have a point system with many opportunities to contribute. In fact, your silent auction contributions will go directly towards your dancer(s)! You could potentially offset the full convention cost for your dancer up to the maximum convention cost (estimated to be $350 per dancer). Details coming soon.
Tickets will be on sale shortly for this awesome parent's night out! Tell your friends to save the date as you will not want to miss out! Tickets will be first come / first serve, so buy early.

Why does the DPA have Fundraisers?
Along with exciting events such as the Dance Convention the DPA helps fund Stage Rehearsals, Year End Party, Year End Show, Canada Day Parade to name a few.
Our next DPA meeting is scheduled for October 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. All parents are welcome! Please look for the agenda to be posted in the lobby in towards the end of September. There will be updates on upcoming DPA events, opportunities and elections.
